Saturday Sermon and Special Puja

 We are delighted to announce that Venerable Batuwangala Rahula Thero, the state award winner for best novel 2005, 2009 and 2012 is currently visiting Scotland for one month. 

We are very fortunate to have him here at the Glasgow Vihara.  The Vihara has organised three sermons that Venerable Rahula will give. These will take place on Saturday 26 October, Saturday 2 November and Saturday 9 November 2013 between 5-6pm.

Venerable Rahula will conduct a special puja at the Kathina Ceremony on Saturday 16 November (starting at 2.00pm) at Partick Burgh Hall.

Venerable Rahula studied for ten years at Dharmapala Pirivena (Buddhist monks training college) at Bellana, Sri Lanka with Venerable Rewatha.  Currently he is the Deputy Principal of Sri Sunandarama Pirivena at Matugama.
