Secular Mindfulness Meditation

Venue: Interfaith Room, University of Glasgow Chaplaincy
Speaker: Venerable Rewatha Thera, The Buddhist Chaplain to the University of Glasgow
The Secular Meditation sessions, which will focus mainly on breathing
techniques, will be from 2pm – 5pm.
All Students and Staff of the University are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.
Venerable Rewatha Thera will conduct Buddhist Prayers from 2.15pm to 2.45pm, before beginning the Secular Meditation sessions, for all those who would like to participate.
Session One
2.15-2.50pm Buddhist Service (This session is based on Theravada Buddhist Practice)
Session Two
3.10- 3.25pm Mindful Movement (Yoga)
Session Three
3.30- 3.50pm Mindfulness of Breathing
Session Four
4.10- 5.00pm Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
